Habitat for Humanity Anchorage
works in partnership with people throughout the community to build houses, build hope and change lives. We do this by building and renovating simple, decent and affordable houses and by using our voice in the community to make adequate housing a matter of conscience and action. Habitat sells its houses at cost to qualified low-income Anchorage individuals and families. We partner with individuals and families of any race, sex, age, disability, faith, familial status or national origin. HFHA is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International.
HFHI's vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. We put God's love into action by bringing people together to build houses, communities, and hope. HFHI's mission principles include demonstrating the love of Jesus of Christ; Focusing on shelter; Advocating for affordable housing; promoting dignity and hope and supporting sustainable and transformational development.
HFHI and its affiliates will not proselytize, nor will HFH work with entities or individuals who insist on proselytizing as part of their work with Habitat. This means that HFH will not offer assistance on the expressed or implied condition that people must adhere to or convert to a particular faith or listen and respond to messaging designed to induce conversion to a particular faith.
