The Faith Relations Partnership is a subcommittee of the Development Committee and is made up of Board members and faith community volunteers.  This partnership works in conjunction with the HFHA Development Director to develop and nurture sustainable relationships with congregations and faith groups that are passionate about and committed to helping families find solutions to the challenges of affordable housing.

2010 Faith Relations Partnership Goals

• 1Q:  Recruit volunteers from the Lutheran faith community to help build the 2010 Faith House.
• 1Q:  Secure at least $25,000 in donations from the Lutheran faith community to help build the 2010 Faith House
• 2Q:  Recruit faith community volunteers outside of the Lutheran faith community to help build the 2010 Faith House
• 3Q:  Recruit families to attend HFHA’s information intake sessions for the 2011 – 2012 building program.
• 1Q – 4Q:  Secure at least $40,000 in donations from faith communities outside of the Lutheran faith community to begin raising funds for the 2011 Faith House.
• 1Q – 4Q:  Continue to broaden the membership of this partnership with persons from congregations or faith groups not currently represented.

2011 Faith Relations Partnership Goals

• 2Q:  Recruit faith community volunteers from the faith community to help build the 2011 Faith House
• 1Q – 4Q:  Secure at least $60,000 in donations from the faith community to complete raising sponsorship funds for the 2011 Faith House.
• 1Q – 4Q:  Continue to broaden the membership of this partnership with persons from congregations or faith groups not currently represented.

The Faith Relations Partnership meets the second Monday of each month from 5:30 - 6:30 pm at the Habitat Office - 500 W International Airport Rd Ste E (enter side door by Hospice awning and go upstairs).  If your faith community is not yet represented, please join us!  For more information about this partnership's work, please call Jan Cawvey at 272-0800.  The next Faith Relations Partnership meeting will be Monday, September 13, 2010 at 5:30 pm at the Habitat Office at 500 W International Airport Road Suite E.  Please RSVP to Jan at 272-0800 to let her know you plan to attend.
